The Beginning
Newborn Photography
There’s nothing more precious—or more fleeting—than those first few days of life. I absolutely love capturing newborns in their tiniest, sweetest stage. The best time to schedule a newborn session is within the first two weeks after birth. During this window, babies are still very sleepy and flexible, which allows us to safely position them in those curled-up poses that show just how small and new they are.
Newborn sessions typically last around 2 hours, giving us time for feedings, soothing, and plenty of gentle posing. I recommend keeping outfit changes minimal—just one or two outfits, or even better, soft and simple wraps or diaper-only photos. Most babies aren’t fans of frequent wardrobe changes, and keeping it simple helps us get the most out of your session.
If you're interested in a newborn session, please reach out as early as possible with your due date. I'll pencil you in and have you contact me once your baby arrives so I can offer you my earliest available appointment.
